Soo…this morning, I made chai tea latte cupcakes. And whipped up some cream cheese frosting too. Why, you ask? Because I really need my friends to come home from their real jobs now. Please. Three weeks at home by myself is torturous.

So this is what happens instead. I used this recipe (http://www.recipe.com/chai-tea-cupcakes/) except I used a liquid chai latte concentrate because who the fuck knows what instant chai latte mix is. I had to add more flour in to make up for the extra liquid, and then our little hand mixer, which I’m pretty sure is older than I am, broke down halfway. So these poor babies never stood a chance — they came out a little dense and a little lacking in height. But it’s okay — the cake itself was delicious enough that it didn’t matter that they were a little stunted. Plus, cream cheese frosting makes all things better.

I’m particularly pleased that my little point-and-shoot camera managed to take a decent picture for once! It’s amazing what some good lighting and the macro setting can do. Maybe this thing can handle more than just capturing vivid and embarrassing shots of all of my drunken friends and me at ridiculous hours of the night. Who knew?
