1) i didn’t get the job that i flew home to the east coast for. there’s actually a whole melodramatic story about this that includes me standing outside a bar in the freezing cold at 10PM on a friday night, waiting for a call. but i won’t bore you with the details. the rejection sucked, but i’ve moved on, thankfully.
2) classes end this week, and i’m starting my new full-time job on monday, with the internet commerce company i mentioned before. this is terrifying for two reasons:
3) the boyfriend moved in with the flatmate and me for a few weeks while he’s waiting on his new flat purchase to finish up. this has been an interesting social experiment, and so far, i’ve learned that even if you and your significant other are “practically living together” because you spend an obscene amount of time together each day, it is still considerably different from actually living together. who knew?
4) my cousin got engaged this past weekend, making me one of the last ones standing in the family (hi, similarly-not-engaged little cousin!). let it be known that i am perfectly happy with this, and please do not remind my mother again that jeremy lin would have been a suitable husband to pursue in college, had i not spent my junior year with a certain white boy instead.
