Ah, there we go.
1)
My new Dorothy Perkins oxford heels. No, they’re not comfy, and yes, I’m sure they’re on their way out in terms of being trendy. But do they make me smile a shit ton whenever I look down at my feet? Yes. And that is all that matters.
2)
Big mug of Wawa coffee (thanks, Mom!) and homemade carrot cake. Fo’ breakfast. Because I’m a grown-up, and you can’t stop me.
3)
PUPPERZ. This is the Boyf’s dog. She is my favorite thing in all of Ireland. Going home with the Boyf this weekend to see her (oh right, and the rest of his fam) was a nice treat. I spent a good 60% of my time with this dog cuddled up by my leg, waiting to be petted.
4)
Cut-out sugar cookies, made using the new cookie-cutters that my flatmate B bought me for my birthday. Also went a little freehanded on the cookie-cutting as well. I’m normally not a huge fan of the roll-out sugar cookies, but I used Alton Brown’s Good Eats recipe. And they turned out great.
5)
The bus. The bus?!, you ask. The bus. Everyday, I ride the bus for at least two hours, getting to school and back. And occasionally, I abuse my monthly bus pass by taking it up the street to the grocery store or down a few blocks from the LSE to my class at SOAS because my feet hurt from aforementioned shoes. I ride the bus so often now that every time I get on and take a seat, I feel comfy and at ease. Almost like I’m the queen of this damn bus system ya hearddd?!
Happy Monday, team!
